In Österreich gibt man sich beim Begrüßen und beim Weggehen normalerweise die Hand. Auch wenn man neue Leute trifft, gibt man jeder Person einmal die Hand. Das ist höflich. Man schaut der Person dabei auch in die Augen.	In Austria, people generally shake hands when they meet or leave somebody. The same holds true when meeting new people. It is polite to shake hands once with each person looking into their eyes.
Sehr oft vereinbart man einen Termin für eine bestimmte Uhrzeit. Manchmal kann man zu diesem vereinbarten Termin nicht pünktlich kommen. Dann ist es üblich, dass man anruft und die andere Person über die Verspätung informiert. Die Person, die warten muss, weiß dann, was passiert ist. Sie freut sich darüber, dass man respektvoll mit ihrer Zeit umgeht.	Very often, appointments are fixed at a certain time. Sometimes you might, however, not be able to make it on time. As a general rule, one calls and informs the other person about the delay. Thus the other person, who has to wait, is informed. He/she will also appreciate the fact that you respect his/her time.
